Birds of Himalayas

In addition to having fun, enjoying bonfires and gorging on great food, GoMissing team encourages the participants to appreciate the flora and fauna of the Himalayan region. The Indian subcontinent is home to 1313 species of birds and a great number of them belong to the Himalayas. The treks offer wonderful opportunity to pick up bird watching as a hobby and observe some amazing avian species of the region. Invest in a field guide book like, Birds of Indian Subcontinent by Richard Grimmett, Carol and Tim Inskipp and get started.

Our Chief Experience Officer accompanying you too would be glad to share some interesting tidbits on habitat of the bird, the family it belongs to, its peculiar habits and so on. Take a look at some of the birds we captured from GoMissing treks.
