Day 1: Arrive at Dehradun, drive to Sankri
You’ll arrive at Dehradun early morning and will be driven to Sankri. You’ll spend the first night of the trip in a guest house at Sankri. The last 22 kms of the drive are through the Govind Pashu national park and is a beautiful drive section.
First night of camping

Drive distance: 210 km
Day 2: Sankri to Taluka/ Daatmir
After an early breakfast, you will start trekking through a village route on the Banks of the Tons River. The trek route passes through fields, apple orchids and forests. You’ll come across a number of tea stalls run by local villagers during today’s trek. Depending on weather conditions, your campsite will be set up near the Taluka village or ahead near Daatmir village.
Trekking distance: 15 kms
Max altitude: 2200 meters
Day 3: Taluka/ Daatmir to Seema / Osla – 11km (5hrs)
Once again, after an early breakfast you will start trekking towards Seema village. Once again, you will walk next to the Tons River through beautiful patches of forests and verdant green meadows. During the trek today, you’ll cross a number of small streams which merge into the Tons River. After reaching Seema village, you will cross the river and camp at Osla.

Trekking time: 5 hours
Day 4: Osla to Har ki Doon
You will start the trek by walking across the Tons River on a stone bridge. This bridge is near Seema village. As soon as you cross, the trail will start ascending and will show you spectacular views of the Ruinsara valley and the Bandarpoonch mountain range.
After a short distance you will see the confluence of the Ruinsara Gad and the Tons River. Your campsite for the night is at the meeting point of two valleys. You will get spectacular views from here and an incredible night sky is on offer if the skies are not overcast.

Trekking time: Around 6 hours
Maximum elevation: 3510 meters
Day 5: Walkabout at Har ki Doon and trek back to Osla
After a healthy breakfast, you will spend time at Har ki Doon, exploring the area. On offer are gorgeous views of the Jamdar glacier, Swargarohini peak, Hata peak and more. The Swargarohini peak according to Hindu legend is the gateway to heaven.
After exploring the area, you will come back to the campsite and trek back to Osla.
Distance: 14 kms
Day 6: Osla to Sankri
The walk today is easy and predominantly downhill. However, that said, it will be a long day as the distance is 26 kms. Once you reach Taluka, you have an option of taking a shared jeep to Sankri. The fitness freaks and the more daring ones can trek all the way to the village.
Overnight at a homestay/ guest house in Sankri
Distance: 26 kms
Day 7: Drive from Sankri to Dehradoon
On the last day of the trip, you’ll be driven back to Dehradun.
