The day started early. I wonder if I can have such mornings everyday. Clean fresh and fragrant air, the rushing river, misty clouds over the mountains, dew drops on green trees all making life… life
The starting point of the trek to Taksang (Tiger’s nest monastry) is a 20 minutes drive from downtown Paro. The drive takes you through beautiful green landscape along the meandering river. The small bridges (with prayer flags all over them) that you cross on the way add to the charm of the drive… and as you look around… you know that the mystical kingdom in the clouds has engulfed you in its magic.
Soon enough we reached the starting point of the trek. The mist and clouds had all descended to welcome us to Taksang. The trek really did feel like walking on (through) clouds…
