A recent photography walk led us to Kukatpalli area of Hyderabad.

While walking around at Kukatpalli, we came across this group of women who make brooms. All day long, while they work, their infants sleep in a sari hung on a tree branch, young children play on the streets, and the slightly grown up girls join the profession, while elder (relatively) boys work with their fathers for getting raw materials.

The only thing that the men do is to purchase raw material, which they finish in the mornings.
When we visited, the men were lazing around under a tree (or playing games) while the women toiled in the sun.
